Oasis of Blessing History

“Oasis of Blessing” Had their beginning around 1964. At that same time a group of church brothers joined together to form the band “Oasis of Blessing” they were as follows: Ruben Camacho, Nazario Ezpinoza, Gabriel Camacho, Paquito Marquez, Samuel Gonzalez, Noemi Perez, and Dalila Ramirez.

Then, in 1969, Brother Ruben Camacho met with a group of young men considering the possibility of reorganizing their group using the same name, since the original group had not been active 1968-1969. These young men were: Ruben Camacho, Eliseo Delbrey, Daniel Espinoza, Ruben Ortiz, George Pomales, Jesse Pomales, Josue Pomales, Luis Gonzales, Angel Nieves, and David Otano.

In later years other band members have been: Reverend Herman Perez, (Regional President of IDDP M.I.) Pastor Orlando Feliciano, Ray Bayron, Jessie Pacheco, Santos Gomez, Freddie Ortiz, Miguel Torres, Rev. Obed Marrero, Efraín Morales, Aminadab Munoz, Jesús Martinez, Hector Rodríguez, Pastor Eduardo Chen, Julito Concepción Jr., Danny Cruz, Dr. Nicolas Rivera, Josué Herminia, Raul Camacho, Oscar Archivold, Pastor Benjamín Santana, Edwin Guzman, Edelmiro Rivera, Jr., Eric Garcia, Rev. Jimmy Garcia, Melvin Collazo, David Quinonez, Sergio Otano, Luis Soto Jr., Ruben Velez, Rev. Gilberto Lopez, Jessie Pacheco Jr., Andres Hernandez Jr. Luis Pluges, Pedro Cruz, Samuel Cancel, Danny Nunez, Osiris Alamo, Abisai Perez, Elmer Perez, Super and many others that sum-up to more that 60 people that have at one time been members of the group.

Brother Nazario Espinoza and Brother Raul Camacho were Councilors and treasurers of the Band.

First, with the blessing of our Lord Jesús Christ and the support of all the pastors, congregations, and having been in prayer and fasting the group began performing in different churches in the Indiana and Illinois areas. Then, the outings were extended to all the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, Panama, Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, and many other countries.
